360 Investigations & Backgrounds, LLC was created in 2017 by Andy Foster. Andy is a fully licensed and insured private investigator in the state of North Carolina. He started 360 after more than 22 years of experience with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigating all types of crimes both misdemeanors and felonies.
During his time at CMPD, he responded to thousands of calls for service documenting and investigating incidents that had taken place. He also spent more than four years as a Community Coordinator and a Bicycle Patrol Officer.
Andy received numerous commendations and letters for actions taken as a police officer. He was nominated three times by citizen groups for the annual Police Community Relations Award and won the award in 2007 for his work helping a man overcome his alcohol and drug addictions.
In 2012, he was awarded The Medal of Merit for his part in a response to an Armed Robbery and Assault in progress and the apprehension of all suspects involved.
In addition to receiving Intermediate and Advanced Law Enforcement Certifications, he has an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement Technology from Central Piedmont Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Pfeiffer University. He has also taken Master's Degree Seminary classes at Liberty University.
Andy spent more than fifteen years as the Safety Team Leader in his local church.
In 2022, Andy and his family moved to the NC coast near the Southport / Oak Island area. Andy currently volunteers as an emergency first responder for the St James Volunteer Fire Department.
